Chuck became part of RIPR in 2012 after a career on commercial radio. He got his broadcasting start as an announcer for Off Track Betting Corporation in NYC. He’s been a news director, music director, production director and morning personality on radio stations in Providence and Boston.
A native of New Jersey, Chuck attended the School of Journalism at the University of Missouri and graduated from the University of Vermont with a BA in Mass Communications.
Artscape: New book highlights stories of journalists with dyslexia
October is Dyslexia Awareness Month, and in Rhode Island, Governor Dan McKee has declared Dyslexia Awareness Week to start Friday, Oct. 14. For this week’s Artscape, morning host Chuck Hinman talks to the authors of a book that tells the stories of some famous journalists who are dyslexic, and how they have managed their condition.

Longtime festival producer Chuck Wentworth had announced that, due to health reasons, he was calling it quits. But then, someone stepped up to save the festival.
