In Polarized Electorate, Friends Navigate The Trump Divide

A new poll conducted for The Public’s Radio, The Providence Journal and Channel 6 shows a majority of Rhode Islanders — 60 percent — disapprove of President Trump’s job performance. But the poll also reveals a vast partisan divide. About 90 percent of Democrats disapprove of Trump, compared with just 20 percent of Republicans.
