Most of us are familiar with the two main political parties in this country: the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. But In Rhode Island, there’s a third party on the ballot. It’s called The Moderate Party. 

And during the last gubernatorial contest, the party’s candidate, Robert Healey, got almost 22 percent of the vote. This time around, William Gilbert of North Kingstown is the Moderate Party’s candidate for governor.
